Instagram Tip - stop cropping your photos into squares.

Take up the space you deserve on Instagram and STOP cropping your photos into squares.

Your profile/ grid view will show your photos as squares.

When scrolling, however, you want your images to TAKE UP AS MUCH SPACE AS POSSIBLE.

When you add photos to posts, the new Instagram default is for your image to remain vertical with a ratio of 4:5.

Instagram wants users to stick with their app, which means they want you to get as much engagement as possible.

They’ve created this new default, because these images are getting more engagement.

Just remember, when it comes to traditional photo posts, BIGGER is always better!
